Retired NASA astronaut Scott Kelly holds the American record for most days spent in space, after returning to Earth from a yearlong stint on the International Space Station in March 2016. Since then he’s been participating in a NASA study with his twin brother, Mark, to examine the effects of long-duration space flights on the body. At this Sacramento speaking engagement, Kelly will touch on topics from his new book, Endurance: A Year in Space, A Lifetime of Discovery, as well as the events that led him to become a U.S. Navy fighter pilot and a spaceman.
