Boulevard Bistro offers a classic California menu in the environs of a modest Craftsman in old Elk Grove. Wilton native Bret Bohlmann, a California Culinary Academy veteran, and wife Debbie, an Elk Grove native, demonstrate plenty of local pride with locally grown produce and a wine list that showcases wines from the Central Valley. The limited menu tends toward fine dining—filet mignon, grilled swordfish and a rack of lamb. Bohlmann executes these dishes with classical French techniques and seasonal touches from local growers that rotate monthly. The fresh bread loaves are a standout in this quaint venue.
