Cafe Bernardo is like one of those people you hate because they do everything so well. With three locations (soon to be four, with a new downtown spot this spring), it’s a great place for breakfast or lunch, turning out stellar pancakes and Thai noodle salad with equal ease. The menus at each restaurant vary ever so slightly, but be sure to save room for the delicious fruit crisp, which achieves the perfect balance of seasonal fruit and crunchy topping.
