Duke's Plates & Pints

Essential Information

510 La Sierra Dr.
Sacramento, CA 95864

This brick-faced taphouse decorated entirely with beer signage and tucked inside Arden Town Center can hold its own in the suds department, with a rotating 24-tap lineup handwritten on chalkboards and featuring local go-to breweries like Bike Dog and New Glory next to out-of-towners like San Diego’s Pizza Port and Karl Strauss. But while the pints are top notch, the craveable, shareable, decadently executed plates are what really set Duke’s apart. Share an order of the spicy fritters (crispy, deep-fried orbs stuffed with jalapeño cream cheese, corn and bacon), or sink your chompers into one of Duke’s juicy burgers—we especially love the one with a brisket patty, cheddar, bacon, onion rings and house barbecue sauce—which come with potato salad, side salad or French fries. Tip: upgrade to sweet potato fries, which are perfectly crisp on the outside and perfectly fluffy on the inside. They’re well worth raising a pint to, if you ask us.
