This venture from the group behind the acclaimed neighboring restaurant Mother repurposes 7,600 square feet beneath the Crest Theatre as a singular destination for meat lovers, beer geeks, oenophiles, cocktail mavens and every type in between. Chef-owner Michael Thiemann’s sprawling, self-described “American carvery” offers dishes ranging from comforting rotisserie favorites like a French dip kissed with horseradish on a house-made torpedo roll, or organic chicken, roasted to a golden crispiness and accompanied by chimichurri sauce and potatoes, to fried chicken and short rib stroganoff. Vegetarians will love the mac and cheese and seasonal salads.
