Essential Information

4359 Town Center Blvd.
El Dorado Hills, CA 95762

If you feel like taking a gastronomic adventure, but your dining mate is in the mood for homestyle classics, Milestone has got both of you covered. Chef-owner Nick Dedier (whose restaurant background includes front-of-house stints at Thomas Keller’s Ad Hoc and San Francisco’s Gary Danko) sees the oft-changing menu as having two faces: The small plates side is where he gets inventive, such as with his fish and chips (deep-fried tequila-battered cod served with triple-cooked russet potatoes and a green garlic and chardonnay aioli) and the duck carpaccio (accompanied by arugula, a warm bacon vinaigrette and onion jam), while the large plates side includes elevated crowd-pleasers like a 10-ounce New York steak or spaghetti with Bolognese sauce topped with a fontina bechamel. The setting—which features river rock accents, corrugated metal planters and light poplar wood booths with comfy pillows—is rustic and homey, letting anyone who walks in know that there’s room for everyone at the table.
