Don’t let its small size fool you. This wildly popular vegetarian restaurant has big ambitions. The creative and ever-changing menu fashioned by chef Michael Thiemann (who owns and operates the restaurant with his wife Lisa and partner Ryan Donahue, the same trio behind the carnivore-catering Empress Tavern) dazzles with its inventive selections that make even non-vegetarians swoon. Hit dishes include the chicken-fried oyster mushrooms (available as a side or in an excellent po’ boy) and the carrot nutburger topped with crispy onions and arugula. And make sure you stay for one of the rotating desserts, like a vegan salted chocolate chip cookie.
