This popular vegetarian restaurant inhabits a former Blimpie on K Street, and is barely above closet-sized. But the ever-changing menu created by chef Michael Thiemann (who owns the restaurant with his wife Lisa and Ryan Donahue) has disproportionately big ambitions, and it delivers flavor to match. Hit dishes include the chicken-fried oyster mushrooms (also available in an excellent po’ boy sandwich) and the carrot nutburger with seasonal toppings. And make sure you stay for one of the rotating desserts, like a vegan chocolate chip cookie.
