Preserve Public House

  • American

Essential Information

200 Railroad Ave.
Winters, CA

“Unexpected” is the word that comes to mind when you discover Preserve Public House’s charcuterie plates and craft cocktails in small-town Winters. Housed inside a building that once served as the town’s railroad depot, Preserve boasts brick walls, oversized oil paintings and industrial-chic décor. Out-of-towners mingle with locals over pints of regional brew at a horseshoe-shaped bar or on the shady patio with a vintage bread delivery van that serves as a greenhouse for an herb garden. The menu is inviting too, with appetizers like a cheese plate featuring house-made jellies and entrées like an apple-brined Niman Ranch pork chop with Asian barbecue glaze, pear butter and braised fennel roots, or seasonal pizzas like the recent wild mushroom pie with Point Reyes Toma cheese.
