Sutter Street Steakhouse

  • American

Essential Information

604 Sutter St.
Folsom, CA 95630

This sprawling steakhouse is the sister restaurant to the popular Chico establishment, and it fits historic Folsom just right, offering a handsome space with plenty of dark wood (and a dramatic glass-walled wine room) and an easygoing yet upscale air. The menu is, as the name implies, meaty, but there are also seafood options (such as the lobster tail or rotating fish special, plus an oyster bar), as well as starters like a “loaded” iceberg wedge salad (generously topped with bacon) or crisp onion rings with chipotle dipping sauce. But the red meat is the draw. Try the Nick’s Grill, a petit filet steak with a mustard sauce and blue cheese, the mole-crusted rib eye or the NY steak. Entrées come with mounds of garlic mashed potatoes, or diners can opt for the yummy, highly caloric cheddar cheese potato cakes for $2 more.
