Update: Flatstick Pub and Trophy Club will open at DoCo on Sunday, Oct. 20. The nine-hole, indoor miniature golf course will feature River City-centric elements like a replica of the Tower Bridge and a series of holes that spell out "S-A-C," as well as golf-themed decor, including a portrait of Arnold Palmer made of over 30,000 golf tees by artist Blake Byers (with two more planned, of Jack Nicklaus and Gary Player) and a series of Pop Art murals matched with themed puns from Sacramento artist Maren Conrad (for example, one piece depicting Sir Mix-a-Lot reads, "I like big putts and I cannot lie"). Craving of the Week: Identity Coffees' Caramel Mocha Frostee

Whether you want to cool down after a summer bike ride or just want a sweet pick-me-up, the caramel mocha frostee from Identity Coffees may be your new go-to grown-up treat. (It's certainly ours.) The icy concoction was rolled out at the roaster's West Sacramento outpost, Westside Cafe, earlier this summer, but is now also available at its flagship midtown location near 28th and O streets.  As with any blended coffee drink, your first question will be, "Where to start?" A new Neapolitan pizzeria set to open its doors downtown

A new Neapolitan pizzeria, Midici, is set for a soft opening on Wednesday, Aug. 7. The restaurant, part of an L.A.-based chain, is the latest in a string of new food options on the revitalized 700 Block of K Street near the Golden 1 Center. The pizza spot was preceded by the recent opening of Solomon's Delicatessen next door, and will soon be followed by KoJa Kitchen, ramen bar Kodaiko (from chef Billy Ngo of Kru) and ice creamery Devil May Care.  “My wife-to-be, she’s actually from Sacramento, and she really turned us on to the city,” says Cheng Wang, a New York native who moved here in 2014 and owns the restaurant with his brother Danny. While the two were co-owners of a New York City boba tea...

First up will be Santa Cruz-based Cat & Cloud Coffee, whose “The Answer” blend with notes of caramel, berries and chocolate will be spotlighted. "Sometimes you can walk into a coffee shop and they can seem a little pretentious, or people might feel like employees might judge them for not knowing what they want," says owner Chuck Chance, who formerly ran Mighty Coffee Truck. "We want to make it friendly, and make everyone feel welcome." 1430 H St. Visit Goodside Coffee on Facebook for updates. Two years after launching Morgan’s Mill in...
