JOB OPPORTUNITIES
Account Executive
Sactown, the largest and most respected magazine in the Sacramento region, is looking for a new Account Executive to join our team.
If you’re good at sales, then don’t sell widgets. Sell a product you can truly believe in. Sactown was started by two national magazine journalists (one born and raised in Sacramento) who are committed to spotlighting Sacramento’s best and brightest people, and advancing bold ideas to push the city forward. It is a magazine with a strong civic mission at its core, combined with national-caliber journalism, photography and design. We’ve even been written up in The New York Times! If you’re passionate about Sacramento, you’ll be in very good company here.
The magazine is owned and edited by former writers for publications like Money, InStyle, The New York Times and The Wall Street Journal. Our headquarters overlooks downtown Sacramento and is located at the heart of the new urban renaissance, only two blocks from the Golden 1 Center and halfway between City Hall and the State Capitol.
This is a great opportunity to use your sales abilities to develop new business (both print and online) and to work directly with partners to help them grow their businesses by finding the right advertising and marketing plan for them. We’re looking for at least 1 to 3 years of in-person, consultative sales experience. The right candidate will be goal-driven, a problem solver, creative, and have strong verbal and written communication skills. Loving Sacramento is a bonus.
Compensation package includes base salary + healthy commission incentives. Please send your resume and cover letter to Advertising Director Scott Hassenflu at sales@sactownmag.com. A cover letter must accompany your resume for your application to be considered. **No phone calls will be accepted** You can find Sactown at Raley’s, Bel Air, Safeway, Nugget, Barnes & Noble, Corti Brothers and other quality retailers throughout the Sacramento region.
