60 breweries heading to Sacramento for West Coast Brew Fest

Wc Brewfest

It might be 90 and sunny this Saturday in Sacramento, but that doesn’t mean it won’t pour in Miller Park.

More than 60 breweries will be on hand for the 15th annual West Coast Brew Fest, where hopheads will hit the riverside for tastes and tipples from around the western U.S. and even Canada.

The venerable beer event will feature Sacramento suds stalwarts like Track 7, New Helvetia, Hoppy Brewing, River City and Bike Dog alongside visitors from nine other states from Alaska to Nevada and Hawaii.

Not to be outdone, British Columbia will be represented by three breweries—Squamish, Parallel 49 and Steamworks—while Boston Beer Company (the brewer of Samuel Adams lager) and Vermont Hard Cider are getting into the action as well from the East Coast. The festival will also feature live music from the bands Dog Park Justice and Strictly For Kicks, as well as food vendors like G-Dubbs BBQ, Dave's Dawgs and Xochimilco, among others.

Presale tickets can be purchased for $35 today at the Brew Fest’s website, while tickets will cost $40 at the door. Designated drivers enter for $5; the car-service app Uber is offering a $20 credit to first-time users who summon a ride while using the code “WCBrewFest.” Cheers!

$35-$40. Saturday from 1-5 p.m. Miller Park. Broadway and Marina View Dr. 924-3836. westcoastbrewfest.com
