Local Meal Deals for Theatergoers Abound

This winter, restaurant owners are offering theater patrons a chance to be their guest with same-day discounts. We’ve rounded up a list of participating eateries that are offering up a sampling of their culinary arts—from shrimp purloo at The Porch to banh mi pizza at Firestone Public House—before an evening of the performing arts. SACRAMENTO BALLET'S THE NUTCRACKER (through Dec. 21)
Choreographed by Sacramento Ballet’s Ron Cunningham, the classic production has returned for its 27th year. CAPITAL STAGE'S SANTALAND DIARIES (through Dec. 28)
Capital Stage presents this one-man play based on a 1992 essay by humorist David Sedaris about his stint playing a Christmas elf at the Macy’s department store in New York City. Capital Stage. 2215 J Street. capstage.org
