New Glory's taproom offers a selection of beers brewed on-site.

Sacramento’s beer boom welcomes its latest player this evening, when New Glory Craft Brewery offers the inaugural pours at its brand-new taproom off Power Inn Road.

Founded last year by head brewer Julien Lux—who designed and built the equipment in which he crafts beers, like his signature American Country Farmhouse Ale—New Glory and its selections have quickly established themselves as mainstays at numerous Sacramento-area bars and restaurants. The new taproom, at 8251 Alpine Ave. (just east of Power Inn, roughly a mile south of Highway 50), will present New Glory’s hoppy standards, as well as seasonals like Lux’s Valley Forge Imperial Stout and Honey Springs Bourbon Ale—the latter brewed with honey and aged in bourbon barrels for six months. Visitors can enjoy a flight of four beers for $7.

New Glory will open its doors today from 4 p.m. to 9 p.m., with Fuzion Eatz supplying the food truck delicacies outside.
