Catch the Broadway-bound "Flashdance The Musical" this weekend at the Community Center Theater.

Flashdance The Musical (Friday through Sunday)
Based on the hit 1983 film starring Jennifer Beals about a young welder who dreams of becoming a ballet dancer, this show’s Broadway-bound national tour stops in the capital city with spectacular numbers set to hits from the movie, such as “Maniac,” “I Love Rock and Roll” and “Flashdance…What a Feeling,” which earned an Academy Award for best original song. $21-$88. The Folsom Symphony (Saturday)

Camellia Symphony Orchestra (Saturday and Sunday)           
A program predominantly inspired by Russian folk tales will feature works by two of that country’s most prolific composers: Igor Stravinsky’s energetic Firebird Suite and Sergei Prokofiev’s Violin Concerto No. 1, which will feature a solo from 16-year-old San Franciscan Alina Kobialka. $30. Circus Oz (Saturday and Sunday)
This Australian circus troupe blends vaudeville-style storytelling with daring, spectacular acrobatics in “From the Ground Up.” The show—which The New York Times describes as “a little naughty, a little nice, a little death defying”—was inspired by the iconic 1932 photograph “Lunch atop a Skyscraper.” Tickets start at $25. I Heart Sacramento Zoo (Sunday)
Show your love for the Sacramento Zoo at this annual Valentine’s Day-themed fundraiser. Watch primates, reptiles, carnivores and other zoo residents receive tasty treats throughout the day, and learn about their habits and diets from on-site Zoo Teens volunteers. $11.25 ($7.25 for ages 2-11).
