Want to get a jump-start on your holiday shopping? We found six cool new shops around the region where you can nab nifty gifts while showing your hometown pride.

All Good

Melding street style with the function of outdoor gear, Sacramento-based clothier All Good, owned by Jason Maggio, opened a flagship store at its former pop-up location in midtown's Ice Blocks on Oct. 6, with a grand opening set for early December. The 900-square-foot space has been decked out in the rugged-chic aesthetic that defines the brand: think natural wood surfaces displaying enamel campware and surfboards propped up in a corner, as well as shelves sporting All Good’s signature street-ready unisex threads, including the Buckeye Dad hat that has been spotted on the likes of LeBron James. Gather Studio & Marketplace

If Etsy existed as a storefront, it might look like Gather Studio & Marketplace, a new Granite Bay boutique and makers’ workspace that launched in October and stocks wares from more than 20 makers throughout the Sacramento region. Check out organic cotton tiger-print baby leggings from Rancho Cordova's Think Big Little People; terra-cotta planters printed with cheeky zingers like “thyme after thyme” and “don’t stop beleafing” from Folsom-based Mrs. Punny Pots; and handmade soaps in scents like lavender and lemongrass from Oak Park's Yisrael Family Farm. Owner and jewelry-maker Meleya Walker also hosts workshops at Gather, including upcoming events on cookie decorating, calligraphy and holiday wreath-making. Getta Clue Store

After operating in various Sacramento locations for over two decades, the city’s oldest streetwear shop, Getta Clue Store, opened its new Downtown Commons (DoCo) storefront in October. The 2,000 square-foot space, which came to life with the help of Sacramento interior designer Whitney Johnson—who has created the signature look for hot spots like Kru, Hook & Ladder and Shady Lady Saloon—features fresh finds (think snapback hats, sneakers and skateboards) from Sacramento-based brands like California Steeze (responsible for the wildly popular “Sacramento Versus Everyone” slogan), Extra Cheese and Official. Public Land

After spending years exploring unincorporated public land across the country, husband-and-wife Austin McManus and Mel Eligon decided to share a piece of their travels with the River City, and in June, the couple opened Public Land, a 900-square-foot shop that highlights international, independent fair-trade makers. The Curtis Park storefront offers ethically sourced goods like agave and black willow soaps from Texas-based A Wild Soap Bar and hand-crafted blankets from Mexico, and many of the individual creators give a portion of their profits national parks and wilderness protection programs. The shop also features a plethora of plant life, particularly cacti from around the world: the white flowering Tephrocactus articulatus from Argentina, Euphorbia polygona, aka “snowflake,” native to South Africa, and Astrophytum ornatum, or “bishop’s cap,” from Mexico. Shelf

Husband-and-wife team William Mendoza and Gabriela Rubio became finalists in the Downtown Sacramento Partnership’s 2017 class of the Calling All Dreamers small business contest for their concept, Miscellaneous. Their idea: regional artisans would pay rent to sell their goods in a brick-and-mortar location. On Oct. 18, the couple opened the concept, redubbed Shelf, in a 1,700-square-foot Downtown Commons storefront. Shelf has, well, shelves—lots of them—and they’re stocked with both locally crafted goods, like handmade leather purses from Sacramento-based Robbiemoto and sustainably sourced chocolate bars from Cru Chocolate, based in Roseville, as well as eye-catching finds from Bay Area makers like Oakland-based Anecdote Candles, whose coconut-soy wax candles come printed with pithy quips, like the "Adulting" fig and sandalwood candle, which bears the tagline: “smells like early nights and steady paychecks.” Mon.-Sat. 10 a.m.-8 p.m. Sun. 11 a.m.-8 p.m. 405 K St. 916-404-1996. weareshelf.com

Together Midtown

Things are always better when you don’t have to do them alone—that’s the sentiment behind Together Midtown, a new concept store on 24th Street near J that soft opened Oct. 27. The 3,200-square-foot space highlights several businesses, including The Pomegranate Boutique, which offers boho-chic women's clothing and funky accessories, and Purpose, which sources its women's garb, skincare products and locally-made jewelry from companies that are fair trade and often work with charities. Started by sisters Stella and Araxia Manukyan and Rachel Minyard (Stella and Rachel own The Pomegranate Boutique and Purpose, respectively), the collective also hosts a hair salon, an alterations shop and a photography studio—and if you feel like getting crafty with your gifts this year, one of the residents, Sew Shop Sacramento, holds sewing workshops and have sewing machines that folks can come in and rent. Coming Soon

Sacramento Republic FC Team Store

Not long after you ring in the New Year, you'll be able to pick up Sacramento Republic FC goods in midtown. Beginning Jan. 14, the team will move its store and headquarters to the MARRS (Midtown Arts Retail Restaurant Scene) complex on 20th Street between J and K. Situated above LowBrau and Sacramento Comedy Spot, it'll be kitted out in the team’s signature hipster-sporty look—think leather chairs, barn stars and a David Garibaldi portrait of a California grizzly. You'll find all the necessary Republic accessories, from beanies and hats to scarves and jackets and even an adorable fuzzy hoodie with bear ears for the youngest fans—and because the space will double as the team’s private office, don’t be surprised if you spot your favorite player while browsing for a jersey.
