Halloween Town: 7 ways to have a spook-tacular time with the little ones this fall

Hop aboard a spooky train, do the Monster Mash at a dance party and trick-or-treat the night away at these seven family-friendly Halloween events happening throughout Sacramento.
Spookomotive
Oct. 15-30 This train ride boasts a different theme every weekend, such as Princesses and Pirates (Oct. 22 & 23). The train, decorated with skeletons and bats, will also host a mad scientist’s laboratory. $8-$25 ($8 for ages 2-17; free for ages 2 and under). Safe & Super Halloween
Oct. 21-23 During this year’s superhero-themed Halloween festivities at Fairytale Town, tots can make their own masks, trick-or-treat at 17 candy stations, join a nightly costume parade, and watch a live-action performance in Batman’s Cave of Wonders. $10-$12 (free for ages 1 and under). 5-9 p.m. Fairytale Town. 3901 Land Park Dr. 808-7462. fairytaletown.org

Monster Bash

Wee Halloween

Halloween Haunt

Midtown Halloween Festival

All New Boo at the Zoo
