Last day to buy tickets for Mid-Century home tour this weekend

Today is the last day to buy tickets for a rare treat to tour one of Sacramento’s coolest modern homes, the Roush Residence, this Saturday, June 2. The local design group SacMod will be hosting tours of the 1954 Arden Oaks home. It was designed by Terry Waters, a Taliesin Fellow and longtime draftsman/colleague/friend of celebrated architect John Lautner.
A portion of the proceeds will be going to the proposed Ray Eames exhibit at The California Museum. For those who don’t know, Ray Eames was the wife and design partner of Charles Eames. The two of them redefined modern design in America in the ’50s and ’60s, most notably with the Eames Chair & Ottoman, and Ray was born and raised in Sacramento.
Your ticket purchase also includes treats from Freeport Bakery, coffee from Chocolate Fish coffee and wine from Rail Bridge Cellars.
Ticket sales at 5:30 p.m. today. For more information and to purchase tickets, click here.
