The first-ever Brew Street festival to take over midtown

Brew Street, which will fill the streets on and near 18th and Capitol, will boast over 100 taps.
Get ready to soak up the suds. After three years of working with Deschutes Brewery’s to bring the “Worlds Largest Pop-Up Pub” to Sacramento, this fall, Elk Grove-based nonprofit Runnin for Rhett will be striking out on its own to create Brew Street, an equally mammoth outdoor beer garden with over 100 taps.
Anchored by a bar at 18th and Capitol, the event will stretch out in each direction to cover four midtown blocks on Oct. 13 and feature almost 40 different suds from four California breweries, including Brew Free! or Die Blood Orange IPA from San Francisco's 21st Amendment Brewery; Juicier Than Thou pale ale from Fairfield’s Heretic Brewing Company; Mexican lagers and coconut stouts from San Diego’s Saint Archer Brewing Company; and double IPAs from San Leandro-based Drake’s Brewing Company (which is set to open at The Barn later this year).
Beer buffs can also nosh on tacos from Zócalo and eats from local food trucks (like tri-tip-topped fries from Gameday Grill and chicken shawarma from Gyro Stop) while listening to music from Sacramento country singer Rachel Steele and Reno-based funk-blues quintet Jelly Bread. All proceeds will benefit Runnin' for Rhett.
