Milestone Restaurant
Essential Information
If you feel like taking a gastronomic adventure, but your dining mate is in the mood for homestyle classics, Milestone has got both of you covered. Chef-owner Nick Dedier (whose restaurant background includes front-of-house stints at Thomas Keller’s Ad Hoc and San Francisco’s Gary Danko) sees the oft-changing menu as having two faces: The small plates side is where he gets inventive, such as with his buttermilk fried jumbo rock shrimp served with a spicy lobster sauce and a house caraway coleslaw, while the large plates side includes elevated crowd-pleasers like a Kurobuta pork chop or bucatini made with pesto and an 18-month Parmigiano-Reggiano. The setting—which features river rock accents, corrugated metal planters and light poplar wood booths with comfy pillows—is rustic and homey, letting anyone who walks in know that there’s room for everyone at the table.
