Essential Information

3161 ZINFANDEL DR., Rancho Cordova, CA 95670

Elk Grove-based husband-and-wife Ronnie Lee and Wendy Liang are bringing the spirit of aloha to Rancho Cordova with their new poke spot, which opened in February. The space is bright, dominated by vibrant floor-to-ceiling wall art by local designer—and Lee’s sister—Diana Lei Lee that highlights the Lee family’s Hawaiian heritage (think palm trees and the volcanic tuff Diamond Head). The food concept is build-your-own poke bowl, with options such as octopus, shrimp, pineapple and edamame. Crowd-favorite toppings—which blanket a base of rice, salad greens, kale or shaved daikon—include the shoyu tuna (the fresh fish is overnighted from Hawaii and mixed or marinated in a blend of sesame oil, soy sauce, Hawaiian sea salt and green and white onion), flavorful garlic shrimp, and garnishes like seaweed salad, fried onions, cucumber, furikake seasoning and mango. Together, they’ll have you walking out throwing a hearty “Mahalo!” over your shoulder.
