Wildwood Kitchen & Bar

Cuisine: American

Essential Information

556 Pavilions Ln., Sacramento, CA 95825
916-922-2858

Whether you dine inside under an enormous, illuminated sculpture that looks like a flock of white birds, or near the custom hostess table made of etched glass and a tree stump by local creative Marc Foster, you’ll find plenty of art to admire in the dining room and on the plate at Wildwood in the Pavilions shopping center. Executive chef Fred Haines (who owns the eatery with his brother Matt, the restaurant group’s VP) and chef de cuisine Victor Cruz have a way with plating: The dish of mushroom bruschetta with goat cheese and Parmesan crostini is as pleasing to the eye as the palate, as is the ahi poke. For dessert, a lemon cheesecake with candied Meyer lemon and blood orange is equally picturesque.
